St Anne's enjoys working hard and playing hard together as a church family. Therefore there are regular events for the family to get involved in which are listed below and on the left. Weekly newsletter items will also be posted below to give an overall feel of what is happening at our church.
Items for the Julian Trust can be placed in the basket at the back of church please. specifically requested are: UHT milk, tinned tomatoes, tinned tuna, squash, tinned custard, margarine and washing powder. Your donations will be greatly appreciated in helping the charity to assist Bristol's homeless & rough sleepers.
The “St Anne’s Shed” (our churchyard working party) meets every Monday @ 1.30pm
Saturday 23rd June, 12.30 – 2-00pm. Christian Aid Lunch. This hunger lunch (soup and a roll) will be held in the Church Hall, Barry Road to raise funds for the annual Christian Aid appeal. This is one of several events to replace door to door collecting. Please come!
Sunday 1st July @ 10.15am. Our monthly Celebrate service, now in our new venue at the United Church Longwell Green (opposite Aldi). Church in a modern informal style for all ages beginning with breakfast. Come along and try it!
Monday 2nd July @ 7.30pm. GDPR Workshop. This workshop on Data protection will be held in the Orchard Rooms. It is primarily intended for group leaders, co-ordinators or others processing data, but all are welcome.
Saturday 7th July @ 4.30pm. 2018 DUCK RACE! The race of the year! The launch will be at 5pm at the bridge by Slippery Jim footpath, finishing at the Church Car Park. Ducks available from members of the Events Team for £1 or on the day. Prizes for the fastest ducks and a BBQ at the finish line for all.
'What If' will be performing 'Grease, The Musical' on 11, 12, 13 and 14th July, 7.30 pm, at Sir Bernard Lovell School, in North Street, Oldland. There will also be a matinee performace at 2.30pm on the 14th July. Tickets will be £10 each, or four for £38 and will be on sale in May.
Sunday 15th July @ 10.30an. Morning Praise with Special Guests. A morning praise service with a family feel as we welcome the Chernobyl Children staying in local homes.
Tuesday 17th July @ 10.00am. Please join us for coffee, cake and a chat in the Church Hall, on the corner of Barry Road / School Road.
Wednesday 18th July @ 2.00pm. Mothers’ Union meets in the Committee Room in the Church Hall, Barry Road. We have a varied programme with speakers and activities.
The Church Weekend Away at Brunel Manor has been booked for 5th to 7th October 2018. We need to get an idea of numbers wishing to attend as soon as possible and there is a form at the back of the church for you to indicate your interest. To help you decide there are also brochures to take away. The cost for food and room is £139pp, Children 0-5 years Free, 6-12 years £34.75p, 13-17 years £69.50p. If you wish to spread the cost this can be arranged through Molly. Please sign up as soon as possible - you are assured of an enjoyable time!
