On Saturday 15th September we aim to do some much needed clearing in both the church and the churchyard. Building on the great work that the St Anne's Shed do, we are aiming to tidy up the flower beds outside the church and the Orchard Rooms, which have not been tended this summer and so some clearing and pruning is necessary. There is also always plenty of other clearing needed in the wider churchyard! In the church we have accumulated a number of things we no longer need and there are some places out of reach of our hard working church cleaners. To make these tasks as easy and fun as possible it would be good to have as many people as possible come along to lend a hand. We aim to start at 10.00am and complete by 2.00pm - after enjoying a 'Bring your Own' snack lunch - either outside or in the Orchard Rooms. Hot and cold drinks will be provided.
Church Day Away on Saturday 6th October – a Staycation! This will be held at Trinity College, Stoke Hill, Bristol. Our speaker for the main sessions will be Si Jones our Area Dean. Those who have heard him talk before will testify that he is an exciting and dynamic speaker. His topics for the 3 parts of the day he is to lead are: 'A Faith Filled Church', 'Faith and the Holy Spirit' and 'Faith and the World'. The day will start between 9.30am and 10am for tea and coffee and there will be morning and afternoon breaks as well as lunch and dinner. There will also be free time after lunch for you to explore the college grounds or even go up to the Downs. The cost, to include teas/coffees, lunch and dinner is £25 - where else in Bristol can you get that?! If you need transport to Trinity a car share system will be arranged.
Please send any items for next month's notice sheet to Richard at email@example.com by 25th August.
