St Anne's enjoys working hard and playing hard together as a church family. Therefore there are regular events for the family to get involved in which are listed on the left. However, the regular weekly newsletter items will be posted below to give an overall feel of what is happening at our church.
Open the Book - A small group of volunteers from local churches go into primary schools to take a weekly assembly called 'Open the Book'. The material is all supplied and well received. The team for Hanham Abbots School need one or two more helpers to assist with a Thursday morning assembly. If you can help or to find out more please speak with Sue Dean on 9323633.
THE CARE TEAM needs you! If you are able to give very occasional help to church members in need of a lift, some shopping or a home visit please speak with Doreen Lindup or Becky Reynolds. This is an important part of our ministry to each other.
Items for the Julian Trust to be placed in the basket at the back of church please. specifically requested are: UHT milk, tinned tomatoes, tinned tuna, squash, tinned custard, margarine and washing powder. With the darker, colder nights coming they would appreciate gifts of blankets & sleeping bags in addition to food to assist Bristol's homeless & rough sleepers.
For those of the congregation who attend the Sunday 9.00 am service you are asked to note that on the 3rd and 5th Sundays of the month this will be a reflective Morning Prayer service rather than the usual Communion. Your continued support to the service and to our lay ministers who will generally be leading the reflective services will be greatly appreciated.
We are still much in need of extra help for cleaning the Orchard Rooms. This is done on a rota basis & if we are unable to find additional help the PCC will need to consider employing somebody so that the rooms are kept presentable for church and other users. Please speak to Linda Summers, Bob Kilmastser or a warden to find out more or offer help.
The “St Anne’s Shed” (our churchyard working party) meets on Monday afternoons @ 1.30pm
